Description:
A pair of twin brothers Wang Ming Cheng ( Lau Ching Wan) and Wang Li on ( Stephen Chow) lost childhood . 白麗(吳浣儀飾)有一對孖生兒子王名成(劉青雲飾)及王利就(周星馳飾)，二人性格極端。兄弟二人不足十歲之年，白麗帶二子到澳門，不慎遺失幼子。利就被擄後，被遺棄街頭，後為魯輝(梁家仁飾)所救，可是因發高燒而失憶，魯輝視之有如親子，改名阿細。
日月如梭，名成長大，成為影壇上之新浪潮導演，為人精明，敢作敢為，與母買得新樓即將入伙；白麗欲開源，把舊居租予魯輝。
魯輝覓新宅為迎接剛出獄之魯細。魯細乃性情中人，當年為友人頂罪而入獄，與名成多次冤家相遇。後名成因新居入伙延期，與母搬回舊居，發覺二房客竟為死對頭魯細，四人被逼共困一室。
名成本有一位明星女友顏可恩(梁樂兒飾)，心高氣傲，視名成為踏腳石。名成之新製片方嘉楠(陳秀雯飾)為一能幹，男子氣甚重之女子，而嘉楠私下則與魯輝及魯細為好友，常有往來，名成視三人為同一族類。
白麗與魯細相處日久，覺其小動靜與幼子相若，錯摸推敲下，引至烏龍百出，終至母子及兄弟重逢，二人由冤家變回手足，白麗對此子更感溺愛，以作補償。
魯細欣賞嘉楠之性格，欲作追求，但嘉楠心儀名成，嘉楠因此甚感矛盾。名成性自負，鑑定她玩弄其感情，立意捉弄之，方發覺自己為嘉楠之第一個男人，被魯細直斥，再誠意追回嘉楠之芳心；而魯細亦接受現實，與漫畫妹李玉好(胡櫻汶飾)共唱其戀歌。
另一方面，嘉楠有一親戚卓齡(馬清儀飾)與男友余超文(駱應鈞飾)相戀多年，蹉跎不少歲月，超文亦覺卓齡早為囊中物，繼續其不覊生活，與卓齡發展至共築新居之地步。魯輝作二人之裝修師傅，邂逅卓齡，先由冤家變為朋友，卓齡欣常魯輝老實忠誠，二人終作相戀，而魯輝與其霧水相好何小蓮(李殿朗飾)亦告一段落，放棄過往吊兒郎當之生涯，共創天下。
超文與卓齡情淡後，於公司地位不保，往外發展，與名成合伙營商。可是超文不慎誤殺蘇惠珍，於是嫁禍名成，名成犯上官非，患難中嘉楠表示生死與共，而魯細則肯代兄入獄，最後卓齡妙計使超文認罪。
